Traffic Cameras

Near infrared filters for traffic cameras i.e.
used for automatic license plate recognition (ANPR).

Traffic Cameras

The application environment

Automatic license plate recognition (ALPR / LPR / ANPR) uses optical character recognition on images to read vehicle number plates. The technology is often based on infrared (IR) light, why an IR filter is applied.

Typical filter requirements

  • Effective filtering
  • Anti-reflection (AR) coating
  • Optimized anti-reflection (AR) coating
  • A minimum of cleaning
  • Impact resistance
