Solaris™ S optical pass filter can be categorized into broadband and selective filters.
Broad-band filters are grey-shaded filters that allow all colors to be transmitted. These are often used in applications where contrast enhancement or a black panel effect is wanted for aesthetic purposes.
Selective filters (also known as color filters) are used to control what light is transmitted through the filter. This way, you can, for example, maximize the performance of a sensor or camera by blocking out unwanted wavelengths and optimizing the transmission of specific wavelengths.
We also offer an extensive range of color-matching services if you already have specific color requirements.
Using proprietary computer-based C&L® simulation software, we can calculate and create colored filters and color conversion filters meeting virtually any customer-specified color or chromaticity target.
Because of Solaris™’s versatility, it can be improved further by applying surface treatments to either side. These surface treatments range from scratch-, abrasion-, and wear resistance, anti-glare, anti-reflective, chemical resistance, anti-fingerprint, etc.
