Solaris™ IR 306 longpass filter

Solaris™ IR 306 is a highly transparent, near-infrared (NIR) filter that blocks the entire visible spectrum and ultraviolet light. Therefore, the NIR filter is specifically designed for applications utilizing near-infrared light, such as machine vision applications, iris scanners, LIDAR applications, TOF devices, and facial recognition systems. This filter blocks out all other wavelengths than the NIR wavelength range, which is from 800nm to approximately 2000nm.

This results in an optical filter that looks completely black to the human eye but transmits NIR wavelengths to the camera or sensor behind the device. Therefore, it is virtually impossible to identify your device’s electronics and optical components. IR S306, therefore, is a highly efficient longpass filter, allowing only NIR light to reach the sensors behind the cover glass.

The near-infrared filter absorbs the entire visible spectrum and ultraviolet light and delivers maximum transmission in the NIR range.

Customization for your specific application

The filter’s performance can be significantly improved by applying a surface coating optimized for filters working in the near-infrared area.

High-performance optimized anti-reflection coatings working in and beyond the VIS range can be applied to Solaris™ IR 306. We have developed several optimized anti-reflection coatings that operate in different spectrums within the VIS/NIR range.

Being a solutions partner, we supply optical cover glass solutions that are processed and coated according to application- and customer requirements. That way, we deliver the perfect solution for your project’s specific needs and requirements. Click here to read about our competences, and here for our production capabilities.
